Brisket Beer and Bean Chili
This Brisket Beer and Bean Chili combines tender chopped beef brisket with two types of beans, bacon, and aromatics like red onion and jalapeño. Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 red onion , diced
- 1 jalapeño , minced
- 15 ounces Kidney Beans , drained and rinsed
- 30 ounces pinto beans , drained and rinsed
- 3 cups beef brisket cooked and chopped
- 4 lices Bacon , cooked and chopped
- 12 ounces beer
- 8 ounces tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 3 tablespoons chili powder
- 1 tablespoon cumin
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
- Add oil to a large cast iron skillet on medium high heat.
- Add red onion and jalapeño and cook for 4-5 minutes until translucent, stirring occasionally.
- Add in kidney beans, pinto beans, brisket, bacon, beer, tomato sauce, ketchup, chili powder, cumin and Worcestershire sauce.
- Stir well and bring to a boil, then reduce to medium heat (stirring occasionally) and cook for 1 hour until thickened.
