Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F or 190°C
  2. In a large bowl, beat the butter until soft and creamy
  3. Add sugar, a pinch of salt, and vanilla extract and beat until the mixture is smooth.
  4. Gradually add the flour and mix the cookie comes together
  5. Transfer the cookie dough to 11 inches by 7-inch baking pan, evenly spread, and then press firmly.
  6. Poke holes on the surface with a fork.
  7. Place into the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden.
  8. Remove from the oven and sprinkle some granulated sugar over the top.
  9. Cut into 1 1/2 inch by 3-inch pieces while the cookie slab is still hot.
  10. Cool and serve.
