Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 teaspoons ginger minced
  • 1 pound broccoli cut into florets
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 pound white mushrooms sliced
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil optional

Instructions

  1. Combine soy sauce, cornstarch mixture, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and water. Mix until well blended and then set aside.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add garlic and ginger, sauté for 30 seconds. Add broccoli, onion powder, and mushrooms, stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  3. Pour in the sauce mixture, stir well to coat the vegetables. Cook for another 2 minutes until the sauce thickens. Drizzle with sesame oil if using.
