Brown Sugar Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies are mini smoked sausages wrapped in bacon halves, rolled in brown sugar, and baked until the bacon crisps and caramelizes. The combination yields a sweet, savory, and slightly sticky appetizer with a crisp exterior and juicy center.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces Bacon cut in half
  • 16 ounces little smokies
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Wrap one piece of bacon around one little smokie.
  3. Roll the bacon wrapped smokie in brown sugar. Place it on a wire rack on a baking sheet.
  4. Repeat until the whole package of bacon wrapped little smokies are wrapped and rolled in brown sugar. If you tuck the bacon end under the smokie, there is no need to pin with a toothpick. You can fasten with a toothpick if desired.
  5. Cook for about 15 to 20 minutes or until the bacon is done and browned.
