Brown Sugar Candied Yams

Brown Sugar Candied Yams are sweet potato chunks simmered until just tender then baked in a syrupy blend of orange juice, brown sugar, butter, and warm spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. The addition of orange zest and fresh rosemary gives a subtle brightness and herbaceous note to the rich, caramelized coating. This preparation results in tender vegetables with a lightly sticky, flavorful glaze, suitable as a comforting side dish for holiday meals or any dinner that benefits from a sweet and spiced vegetable.
