Brown Sugar Matcha Latte

Sweetened with brown sugar syrup, this iced matcha latte has delightful caramel notes that you won’t be able to get enough of. It’s simple but refreshing.

Ingredients

  • 1½ teaspoons matcha
  • ¼ cup hot water 176°F (80°C)
  • Ice cubes
  • 1-2 tablespoon brown sugar syrup
  • ½ to 1 cup milk or non dairy alternative

Instructions

  1. Using a fine-mesh strainer, sift the matcha into a small bowl. Add the hot water to the bowl and whisk the matcha vigorously in an M shape until the matcha is frothy and there are no clumps.
  2. Add the brown sugar syrup to a glass of ice. Then top it off with milk and the matcha mixture.
  3. Stir to combine.

Notes

  • You can make homemade brown sugar syrup by simmering brown sugar and water in a 1:1 ratio.
