Ingredients
- 2 cups dark brown sugar
- ½ cup hot water
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tsps brown sugar
Instructions
- In a large pot, add brown sugar to a dry pan.
- Turn your heat to low and start mixing your sugar as it melts.
- Consistently stir the sugar until it dissolves and becomes smooth. The brown sugar may form lumps, but keep stirring.
- After about 10 minutes, your sauce should be smooth and have a dark brown color. Then, add hot water and turn off the heat.
- Add salt and brown sugar, mix well, and allow to cool before storing in an airtight container.
