This juicy turkey burger recipe can be cooked on the stove or on the grill. It's topped with fresh Tomato Basil Bruschetta for a flavorful meal!

Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic crushed
- ¼ cup fresh basil chopped
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese shredded
- 4 hamburger buns
Tomato Basil Bruschetta
- 3 roma tomatoes
- ¼ cup red onion diced
- 1 clove garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil chopped
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Tomato Basil Bruschetta
- Combine all of the ingredients in a large bowl. Place in the refrigerator until ready to top the burgers.

Bruschetta Turkey Burgers
- In a large bowl, combine the ground turkey, balsamic vinegar, crushed garlic, fresh basil, salt and pepper. Form into 4 half-pound burger patties.
- Heat a grill to medium-high heat.
- Add the turkey burgers to the grill and grill for 6-8 minutes per side.
- Three minutes before the turkey burgers are finished grilling, place ¼ cup of mozzarella cheese on each burger. Allow the cheese to melt onto the burgers.
- Place the hamburger buns on the grill to lightly toast. Remove the burgers and buns from the grill.
- Place the burgers on the buns, top each burger with ½ cup of fresh bruschetta.
Notes
- Always make sure the internal temperature of the burger is 160°F before removing it from the grill.
- If you don't have a grill, you can cook these burgers on the stove in a cast iron skillet over medium high heat, following the same instructions as if you were making them on the grill.
- Remove the bun to make this recipe gluten free and low carb. Without the bun, this recipe is 3 carbs per serving.
- Remove the bun and the mozzarella cheese to make this recipe whole 30 compliant and paleo friendly.
