Buffalo Turkey Burgers

Bursting with flavor, these Buffalo Turkey Burgers are loaded with sautéed veggies and seasonings then coated in buffalo sauce and topped with your favorite cheese.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 celery stalk grated or sliced thin
  • 5 baby carrots grated or sliced thin (or 1 large carrot)
  • ⅓ cup onion chopped
  • 1 - 1.25 lb ground turkey 93- 99% fat
  • 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup buffalo sauce
  • 1 tablespoon butter

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in large skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Cook garlic, carrots, onion and celery until translucent (about 15-20 minutes)
  3. Remove from heat and cool for 5 minutes
  4. Mix in poultry seasoning and the above cooked ingredients with turkey meat and mix well.
  5. Form into 5 patties
  6. Cook in pan over medium for about 6 minutes on each side.
  7. Place cooked burgers on a plate and set aside.
  8. Melt 2 tablespoon of coconut oil or butter and add the ¼ cup of hot sauce. Mix well.
  9. Add cooked burgers back to the pan and turn until coated with sauce.
  10. Place on a piece of romaine lettuce or a bun.
  11. ENJOY!!
