Ingredients

  • 1 head of garlic
  • olive oil
  • 16 ounces butter room temperature, use a good brand of butter like Kerrygold
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • zest of one lemon
  • 4 figs quartered
  • 1/4 cup fig butter or fig jam
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • fresh Rosemary
  • Bread for serving

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. To roast the garlic - cut the top of the head of garlic off. Place on a sheet of tin foil and drizzle generously with olive oil. Wrap tightly and place in the oven at 400 for 40 minutes.
  2. Spread butter onto the serving board. Sprinkle with salt and lemon zest.
  3. Place fig quarters, fig butter, and roasted garlic on the board.
  4. Sprinkle rosemary over the board.
  5. Drizzle honey over the board.
  6. Serve with bread slices.

Notes

  • Use hot honey for a little extra kick.
  • You can use orange zest instead of lemon zest if desired.
  • Sourdough bread is my favorite bread to use, but you can use any crusty bread.
  • Use parchment paper under your butter for easy clean up.
