- 3 teaspoons paprika
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano see note
- 1/2-1 teaspoon cayenne pepper see note
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes see note
Instructions
- Stir spices together.
- Store in airtight container at room temperature.

Notes
- Dried oregano: Italian blend seasoning or Herbs de Provence are good substitutes if you don't have plain dried oregano on hand.
- Heat level: control the heat level of this seasoning mix by choosing how much cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes to use. I love spicy foods so I put the full amount of both spices into the mix.
- Servings: this recipe makes several tablespoons of seasoning, it's enough to make about two of my Cajun-inspired recipes. You can easily double or even triple this recipe to keep more on hand. The spice mix will last for as long as your regular pantry spices are good for as long as it is in an airtight container.
