Candied Carrots

Ingredients

  • 1 lb (500g) baby carrots
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons white sugar or brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon chopped parsley

Instructions

  1. Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the baby carrots for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the carrots are cooking, heat a skillet over medium-low heat and add the butter. Once the butter melts, stir in the brown sugar until well combined. Add the carrots to the skillet and season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Cook for a few minutes until the carrots are nicely glazed, then add the parsley and mix well. Dish out and serve immediately.

Notes

  • If use salted butter, then skip the salt.
