Carrot Margarita
The Carrot Margarita is a cocktail blending fresh carrot and orange juices with silver tequila and triple sec, shaken over ice and served in a glass rimmed with salt or sugar. Its bright orange color and garnishes of citrus and carrot ribbons provide an appealing presentation with a balanced sweet and tangy flavor.
Ingredients
- 3 oz carrot juice
- 3 oz orange juice
- 1 lime
- 3 oz tequila silver
- 1.5 oz triple sec
- 2 cups ice crushed
- salt for rimming, or sugar
- orange for rimming/garnish, slice
- carrot for garnish, ribbon
- lime wedge for garnish
Instructions
- Pour the salt onto a small plate. Rim each class with an orange wedge. Then, dip into the salt.
- Add ice into each glass.
- In a cocktail shaker, add crushed ice, tequila, carrot juice, orange juice, triple sec, and lime juice. Give it a good shake.
- Pour into each glass and garnish with fresh mint sprig, orange slice, or shaved garden carrot. Enjoy!
Notes
- Freshly squeezed carrot juice provides brighter flavor, but bottled juice works if fresh is unavailable.
- Rim glasses shortly before serving to keep salt or sugar adherent and fresh.
- Garnish with carrot ribbons or fresh citrus slices to enhance appearance and aroma.
