Carrot Margarita

Report
The Carrot Margarita is a cocktail blending fresh carrot and orange juices with silver tequila and triple sec, shaken over ice and served in a glass rimmed with salt or sugar. Its bright orange color and garnishes of citrus and carrot ribbons provide an appealing presentation with a balanced sweet and tangy flavor.

Description

The Carrot Margarita combines 3 ounces each of carrot and orange juice with silver tequila and triple sec in a cocktail shaker with crushed ice for chilling and dilution. Lime juice adds a citrusy brightness that complements the natural sweetness of the carrot and orange juices. The glass rim is prepared by rubbing with orange wedge and dipping into salt or sugar, offering a contrasting flavor on sipping.

The shaken mixture is poured into the prepared glasses filled with ice and garnished with an orange slice, carrot ribbon, and lime wedge, adding visual appeal and fresh aroma. This cocktail offers a fresh and slightly sweet profile different from traditional margaritas due to its vegetable-forward ingredient.

Using fresh carrot juice is ideal for the best flavor, though store-bought juice works well for convenience. This drink is suitable as a refreshing option for gatherings or as a twist on classic margaritas for those seeking something unique.

  • 3 oz orange juice
  • 1 lime
  • 3 oz tequila silver
  • 1.5 oz triple sec

Notes

  • Freshly squeezed carrot juice provides brighter flavor, but bottled juice works if fresh is unavailable.
  • Rim glasses shortly before serving to keep salt or sugar adherent and fresh.
  • Garnish with carrot ribbons or fresh citrus slices to enhance appearance and aroma.
