Ingredients
- 24 green cardamom pods
- 1 Tbsp whole black peppercorns
- 2 tsp whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- ¼ c candied ginger
- ½ c loose leaf black tea
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350F.
- Mix cardamom pods, peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon sticks on a baking tray with sides. Place in the oven and toast for 5 minutes, or until fragrant. Remove from the oven and let cool.
- While the spices are cooling, chop the candied ginger.
- Using a sharp knife, split the toasted cardamom pods in half so that the seeds are loose. Chop the cinnamon sticks into small pieces.
- In a small bowl, mix ginger, tea, and toasted spices. Divide into jars for storing or gifting.
