Champagne Lemonade
Champagne Lemonade blends sparkling Moscato wine with fresh lemon juice, simple syrup, and water for a refreshing and lightly sweetened citrus beverage. The inclusion of lemon slices in the mix and lemon wedges for garnish enhance its bright flavor and decorative appeal. This drink balances tartness and sweetness with the effervescence of the chilled wine for a festive refreshment.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 8 cups water cold
- 1 cup lemon juice fresh
- 750 ml moscato wine chilled, Champagne style
- 1 lemon sliced, plus 1 lemon, cut into wedges, for garnish
Instructions
- Make a simple syrup by adding the sugar and water to a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over low heat. Stir mixture until the sugar dissolves, then remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
- Pour cold water and lemon juice into a large glass pitcher. Add the simple syrup and the lemon slices. Stir well. Pour the lemonade into champagne flutes, filling 1/2 to 2/3 of the way full and top off with champagne. Garnish the rims with lemon wedges!
Notes
- Store-bought simple syrup can replace homemade simple syrup.
- Store-bought lemonade may be used in place of homemade lemonade.
