Cheddars Honey Butter Croissants
Cheddars Honey Butter Croissants feature flaky, buttery frozen croissants baked until golden and puffed, then finished with a drizzle of warm honey-infused butter. The combination highlights the croissants' rich, flaky texture with a touch of sweetness and smooth butter flavor. Timing and careful heating maintain the integrity of the honey butter without separation. This simple preparation elevates frozen croissants into a tender, slightly sweet treat.
Ingredients
- 1 package Croissant Trader Joe’s, frozen
- 6 tablespoons butter
- 1 1/2 tablespoons honey
Instructions
- Follow the package directions for proofing the croissants. Trader Joe’s frozen croissants take about 6 to 7 hours to thaw and proof.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the croissants for 15 to 19 minutes, until they are fully puffed up and browned.
- While the croissants are baking, place the butter and honey in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring frequently. When the butter melts, turn off the heat. Continue to occasionally stir the honey butter until ready to serve.
- When the croissants have finished baking, remove them from oven. Allow them to cool for 2 to 3 minutes before drizzling the warm honey butter over the warm croissants.
Notes
- Proof croissants spaced at least 2 inches apart to allow for proper expansion without sticking.
- Melt honey and butter gently over low heat to prevent separation and maintain a smooth glaze.
- Start thawing croissants early, as they require 6 to 7 hours to proof fully before baking.
