Cheesy Garlic Bread Recipe

This cheesy garlic bread recipe is so easy, it takes 5 minutes from start to finish! So much better than store-bought, make this semi-homemade version.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread fresh, or a couple of days old
  • ½ cup butter one stick, softened
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder see note
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 4 tablespoons Parmesan Cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Turn the broil element in the oven on high. 
  2. Slice the loaf of french bread in half lengthwise so you are left with two long pieces. Place them on a sheet tray. 
  3. Spread the butter evenly between the two pieces. 
  4. Sprinkle the spices evenly between the two pieces. 
  5. Sprinkle the cheese evenly between the two pieces. 
  6. Broil on high for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and brown. It is best to watch this the entire cooking time, as it can burn quickly. 

Notes

  • The amount of spices and cheese can be customized to your taste, add more or less of any of these ingredients.
