Cheesy Mac'n Cheese

Ingredients

  • 20 gr butter
  • 20 gr all-purpose flour
  • ½ l milk
  • 300 gr maccheroni pasta
  • 100 gr Emmenthal cheese
  • 100 gr gouda cheese
  • 100 gr cheddar
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Dice or grate finely the cheeses and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven to 180C/375F on the grill setting.
  3. In a large pot, cook the pasta, remembering to drain it 2/3 minutes before the cooking time indicated on the package.
  4. Melt the butter in a pot with high sides.
  5. Once the butter is melted, add the flour.
  6. Mix well using a whisk for a few minutes.
  7. Continuing to stir, add the milk over medium-low heat.
  8. When the béchamel sauce begins to thicken, add 3/4 of the cheese.
  9. Mix the sauce well until it is smooth.
  10. Drain the pasta and add it to the cheese sauce.
  11. Mix well and transfer the pasta to a high-sided baking dish.
  12. Sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
  13. Bake for 5-6 minutes.
  14. Serve hot and gooey.
