Cheesy Sausage Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage regular, Italian, or spicy
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, cubed
  • 10 ounces diced tomatoes, with juice
  • 4 ounces green chilies
  • 2 cups pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • cracked black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Add 1 pound ground sausage to a medium-sized skillet. Break up the sausage into pieces and cook over medium-high heat until browned and no longer pink.
  2. Add 10 ounces diced tomatoes, 4 ounces green chilies, and 8 ounces cream cheese,. Cook over medium heat, stirring until the cream cheese is melted.
  3. Add the shredded 2 cups pepper jack cheese, and stir until melted.
  4. Taste and season with salt and cracked black pepper, if needed.
  5. Garnish with chopped cilantro and sliced jalapenos.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or crostini.
