Ingredients
- 1 (16.5-ounce) Box Devil's Food Cake Mix
- 1 (21-ounce) cherry pie filling
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 large eggs, beaten
Chocolate Frosting
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup milk
- 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 6 ounces chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahenheit. Grease and flour a 15 x 19 x 1 inch baking pan or a 13x9 inch pan.
- In a large bowl, combine 1 (16.5-ounce) box devil's food cake mix, 1 (21-ounce) cherry pie filling, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract red pan.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Remove from oven and let cool.
- In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup granulated sugar, ⅓ cup milk, and 5 tablespoons unsalted butter
- Bring the mixture to a boil for about 1 minute and remove from heat.
