Ingredients
- 6 cups bing cherries pitted
- ½ cup water
- ⅔ sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp orange juice fresh
- 1 tsp orange zest
- ¼ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Combine the pitted cherries, water, sugar, cornstarch, and orange juice & zest together in a saucepan over medium-high heat.
- Bring to a boil then reduce heat and cook, stirring often, for 15 minutes.
- Add the vanilla extract, if using.
- Cool slightly then serve over ice cream. Enjoy.
- Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator.
