Ingredients

  • 1 cup morello cherries frozen or fresh pitted ones.
  • ½ cup Greek yogurt style
  • 1 tablespoon coconut sugar optional. See the note, or palm sugar, or honey
  • 2 teaspoons chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons nut butter see the note.
  • 1 ½ cups spring mineral water sparkling water, coconut water or drinking water (see the note, or still water

Instructions

  1. Place the cherries in the blender.
  2. Add in the yoghurt, nut butter, sugar or honey (if using), and chia seeds.
  3. Pour in the liquid. And blend it all for about 2 minutes or until you get a nice thick smoothie.

Notes

  • Adjust or omit coconut sugar or honey depending on the natural sweetness of the cherries used.
  • You can substitute peanut, almond, or hazelnut butter based on personal preference.
  • Using coconut water or sparkling water as the liquid adds extra flavor compared to still water.
