Cherry Smoothie Recipe With Yogurt And Without Banana
Description
The smoothie is made by blending pitted morello cherries, Greek-style yogurt, nut butter (such as peanut, almond, or hazelnut), optional coconut sugar or honey, chia seeds, and a liquid medium. Morello cherries bring a tart and robust cherry flavor, contrasting the creamy yogurt. Nut butter adds richness and healthy fats, while chia seeds introduce texture and fiber.
The blending process results in a thick, smooth drink with balanced sweetness and a pleasant creaminess. The absence of banana allows the cherry flavor to be prominent, supported by the chosen sweetener if needed. Coconut water or sparkling water as a liquid adds mild flavor notes and hydration benefits.
This smoothie works well as a refreshing breakfast or snack, particularly suited to cherry lovers or anyone avoiding banana. It can be tailored to personal taste by adjusting sweetener amount or nut butter type.
Sweetness can be omitted or reduced depending on the natural tartness of the cherries. Using different nut butters changes the flavor profile—hazelnut or peanut butter are personal favorites. Selecting coconut or sparkling water as liquid enhances flavor complexity beyond plain water.
