Ingredients

Ingredients For The Stir Fry
  • 6 ounces Chow Mein noodles
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cups shredded green cabbage
  • 1 cup matchstick carrots
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 green onions chopped
  • 1 cup bean sprouts optional
Ingredients For The Sauce
  • 4 tablespoons low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons low sodium chicken broth or water
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar (optional)

Instructions

  1. Make the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk all the ingredients for the sauce and set aside.
  2. Prepare the noodles: Cook the noodles according to the directions on the package.
  3. Heat oil in a wok or a large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken and 1 tablespoon of the prepared sauce. Cook for 3-5 minutes or until chicken pieces are golden and cooked through.
  4. Add the cabbage, carrots, and garlic; Stir fry for 2 minutes.
  5. Add in the cooked noodles, chopped green onions, bean sprouts, and sauce, cook for 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  6. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
