Chicken Divan

Our Chicken Divan recipe is loaded with tender chicken and broccoli in a cheesy sauce. This classic dish is so creamy and packed with flavor.

Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 .5 ounce cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese shredded, plus more for topping if desired
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
  • 1 head broccoli chopped into bite sized pieces
  • rice for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350. Spray the bottom of a 9x13 pan with cooking spray. Add chicken pieces, then broccoli pieces.
  2. Mix all remaining ingredients in a large bowl.
  3. Place spoonfuls of sauce all over the chicken and broccoli. Spread out with a spatula.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes. If desired, add more shredded cheese on top for the last 5 minutes.
  5. Serve over rice or mashed potatoes.

Notes

  • Rice is not included in the nutrition facts. 
  • Optional crunchy topping: mix 2 cups of crushed Ritz crackers (or corn flakes or panko breadcrumbs) with 1/2 cup of melted butter. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole before baking. 
  • You can add the rice in before baking. Add 3 cups of cooked rice onto the top of the broccoli, before the sauce layer. 
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
