Chicken Drumsticks in Oven
This oven-baked chicken drumsticks recipe uses a seasoned Bisquick coating and melted butter for a crispy, flavorful crust. The drumsticks are baked at high heat then flipped to finish cooking, producing tender meat with a spiced, golden exterior. Butter bastes keep the coating moist and add richness.
Ingredients
- 2-3 tablespoons butter
- ¾ cup Bisquick Mix
- 1½ teaspoons paprika
- 1¼ teaspoons salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 3 pounds chicken drumsticks chicken legs

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Melt 2-3 tablespoons butter in a 9x13 baking dish in the oven.
- While butter is melting, stir ¾ cup Bisquick, 1½ teaspoons paprika, 1¼ teaspoons salt, and ¼ teaspoon pepper in a bowl. Coat each chicken drumstick and place in the baking dish with melted butter.
- Coat with butter before baking and once during baking.
- Bake for 30 minutes, flip, and bake an additional 15-25 minutes. ENJOY!!
Notes
- Discard cooked chicken left at room temperature longer than two hours to prevent foodborne illness.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator and consume within 3-4 days.
- Freeze chicken in airtight packaging for 4-6 months to maintain quality.
- Reheat in a preheated 325°F oven, lightly brushed with olive oil, for about 25 minutes uncovered to restore crispness.
