Chicken Stock from Chicken Carcass

How to Use the Chicken Carcass for Making Soup

Ingredients

  • chicken carcass leftover
  • 1 large onion quartered
  • 3 carrot chopped
  • 3 celery chopped, stalks
  • 3 cloves garlic smashed
  • 2 bay leaf
  • fresh herbs parley, thyme, or cilantro
  • water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place the chicken carcass in a large pot.
  2. Add the vegetables, garlic, bay leaves, and herbs.
  3. Fill the pot with water until the ingredients are fully submerged.
  4. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Strain the stock into another pot or container through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth.
  6. Let it cool, then refrigerate or freeze for later use.

Notes
