Chili Almond Dressing
This Chili Almond Dressing combines creamy almond butter with fresh lemon juice, a hint of tamari, ginger, garlic, and a touch of chili for a balanced, slightly spicy sauce. A touch of sweetness from Medjool date rounds out the flavors, and water thins the dressing to a pourable consistency. The result is a rich, tangy, and mildly spicy dressing that enhances salads and bowls with a smooth texture and warming heat.
Ingredients
- ½ cup almond butter no sugar added, natural
- 2 Tablespoons lemon juice fresh
- 1 Tablespoon tamari sauce low sodium, or soy sauce
- 1 inch fresh ginger peeled, knob
- 1-2 cloves garlic
- 1 Medjool date pitted
- 1 teaspoon sambal oelek or 1 small chili pepper
- ⅓ cup water
Instructions
- Blend all ingredients together in a high-speed blender. Store leftovers in a sealed container in the fridge. Dressing will thicken as it sits so feel free to add a little liquid if needed.
