Ingredients

  • 1 ½ pounds raw large shrimp peeled, deveined, tails on
  • ⅓ cup sugar- free Keto honey
  • 2 tablespoons sambal
  • Juice of 2 limes
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet to medium high, add in the butter and olive oil. Sprinkle the shrimp with the smoked paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Add the shrimp to the skillet and sear for about 2 minutes on each side, then remove and set aside.
  3. In a small bowl, add in the honey, sambal, lime juice and half the cilantro, then whisk to combine.
  4. Add the garlic into the skillet and sauté for about 20 seconds, careful not to brown it.
  5. Stir in the honey mixture and simmer for 1 minute, until thickened slightly. Add the shrimp back in and toss to coat.
  6. Simmer for 1-2 minutes, just until heated through. Top with the remaining cilantro and serve.
