Chipotle Honey Mustard
Chipotle Honey Mustard combines yellow and Dijon mustards with mayonnaise and honey, blended smooth with smoky chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. The sauce balances sweet, tangy, and smoky flavors with a creamy texture, suitable as a dipping sauce or condiment.
Ingredients
- 3 TBSP yellow mustard
- 3 TBSP Dijon mustard
- 3 TBSP mayonnaise homemade or store-bought, quality
- 3 TBSP honey
- 1-2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
- ½ tsp adobo sauce (extra to taste)
- ⅛ tsp salt
Instructions
- Simply combine all the above ingredients and blend using a small food processor or immersion blender - it's that easy!
- No appliances handy? No problem! You can either mince the peppers up and leave the sauce a little more textured or simply skip the chipotle peppers entirely and just use extra adobo sauce from the jar to whisk into your honey mustard. Start with a little and add extra to taste!
Notes
- Add cayenne pepper, red pepper flakes, or hot sauce to increase spiciness according to preference.
- If you lack blending equipment, finely mince chipotle peppers and mix thoroughly for a textured sauce.
- Use leftover chipotle peppers in other smoky dishes to prevent waste.
- This recipe yields approximately six servings of 2 tablespoons each.
