Chipped Beef Dip Recipe

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sour cream
  • 4.5 ounce package dried beef, AKA chipped beef or Buddig Beef
  • ½ cup chopped green onions
  • ¼ cup pickled jalapenos, drained and diced (mild or hot)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chopped dill
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Place the softened cream cheese and sour cream in a medium mixing bowl.
  2. Add the Worcestershire sauce and garlic powder and mix until very smooth. (Make sure there are no clumps of cream cheese left.)
  3. Chop the dried beef into scant pieces. Then chop the green onions, jalapenos, and dill. Mix the dried beef, green onions, jalapenos, and dill into the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Chill until ready to serve. Serve with toasted baguette slices, butter crackers, or fresh cut vegetables.

Notes

  • In a hurry? You can warm the cream cheese in the microwave so it mixes smoothly with the other ingredients.
  • Hot Chipped Beef Dip Recipe? Yes, you can place this dip in a baking dish and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. You can also sprinkle the top with shredded cheese before baking, if you like.
