Ingredients
- ½ cup Dutch process cocoa
- 1 ¾ cups all purpose flour
- 6 tablespoons dark brown sugar
- 6 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
- ¾ teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs room temperature
- ½ cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¾ cup semi sweet chocolate chips divided
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 9x5 bread pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the cocoa, flour, both sugars, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the buttermilk, eggs, oil, and vanilla. Mix until combined. Fold in ½ cup of the chocolate chips.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and top with the remaining ¼ cup of chocolate chips.
- Bake for 55-60 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Let cool completely before slicing.
