Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

How do you make a brownie (even more) irresistible? Mix cocoa powder, butter, powdered sugar and vanilla and top with a delicious chocolate buttercream.

Ingredients

  • 2 cup powdered sugar
  • ½ cup butter 1 stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 2-4 Tablespoons milk half & half or cream

Instructions

  1. Cream butter and vanilla using a mixer. Add powdered sugar a half cup at a time. When smooth, mix in 2 tablespoons of milk, then add cocoa powder and mix until well blended. Add additional milk if needed.

Notes

  • Note: if you don’t have any milk or cream, you can use water instead. It won’t be quite as creamy but will still be delicious and the difference isn’t worth a trip to the store.
