Chocolate Chip Pear Drop Cookies
Chocolate Chip Pear Drop Cookies combine soft chopped pears with semi-sweet chocolate chips for a moist, sweet cookie. The dough is made with butter, sugar, flour, and eggs, producing lightly golden, tender cookies. They are baked until set with a balance of fruit sweetness and chocolate richness.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar packed
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 pinch salt If using unsalted butter then add ¼ teaspoon of salt
- 2 large egg room temperature
- ½ cup butter softened
- 1 medium-large pear or 2 small, peeled, cleaned & finely chopped
- ½ cup chocolate chips semi sweet or milk
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350F (180C). Line a large or 2 medium cookie sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl whisk together the flour, sugars, baking powder and salt. Add the eggs and butter and beat on medium speed to combine.
- Fold in the chopped pear and chocolate chips. Drop by spoonfuls on the prepared cookie sheet and bake for about 15-18 minutes or until lightly golden. Let the cookies cool on the cookie sheet then move to a wire rack. Enjoy!

- Allow ingredients to reach room temperature before mixing for best texture, about 30-45 minutes.
- Store cookies airtight at room temperature for up to two days; refrigerate in warmer climates or for longer storage up to 4-5 days.
