Course: Baked Goods

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 sweetened condensed milk Eagle Brand® 14 oz. can
  • 1/2 cup butter softened
  • 1 1/3 cups coconut flaked
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips 12 oz. package
  • 1 cup walnuts chopped

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. HEAT oven to 375ºF. Combine graham cracker crumbs, flour and baking powder in small bowl.
  2. BEAT sweetened condensed milk and butter in large bowl until smooth.
  3. ADD crumb mixture; mix well. Stir in coconut, chocolate chips and walnuts. Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  4. BAKE 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool.

Notes

  • Using sweetened condensed milk provides moisture and sweetness without adding extra sugar beyond the recipe’s measured amount.
  • Chilling the dough briefly before baking can help maintain cookie shape if desired.
  • Cookies should be baked until they are lightly browned but still soft in the center to retain chewiness.
