Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups rolled oats old fashioned
  • 1 cup peanut butter natural
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 coops chocolate protein powder (50-60 grams)
  • 2 Tablespoons chocolate chips

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Place oats, peanut butter, honey, protein powder and chocolate chips in a large bowl and stir to combine.
  2. Getting the mixture to combine takes a little arm muscle and it may seem too thick at first, but it will come together as you keep mixing. I used my hands to knead the dough near the end and that seems to help.
  3. Once combined, use a small cookie scoop to scoop and form the dough into balls.
  4. Store in a covered container in the fridge or freezer.

Notes

  • Maple syrup can replace honey as a natural sweetener in the recipe.
  • Almond butter, cashew butter, tahini, or sunflower butter are good alternatives to peanut butter.
  • Chocolate protein powder is preferred for flavor pairing, but any protein powder can be used according to your preference.
  • Instead of chocolate chips, try dried cranberries, raisins, shredded coconut, crushed nuts, cacao nibs, chia seeds, or ground flax seeds for different textures.
