Christmas Simmer Pot

The Christmas Simmer Pot combines thinly sliced lemons and oranges with cranberries, rosemary, cinnamon sticks, vanilla extract, and water to create a fragrant simmering potpourri. Ingredients

  • 2 lemon plural
  • 1 orange
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • 2 rosemary sprigs
  • 3 cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • water

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Thinly slice the lemons and oranges.
  2. Add all ingredients to the pot and then fill the rest of the pot with water. Leave a few inches at the top for boiling.
  3. Bring to a boil over medium heat and then turn heat to low. Let simmer for up to 2 hours.

Notes

  • Add more water during simmering if the level gets low to avoid burning or drying out.
  • Experiment with different fruit and herb combinations to create your preferred fragrance.
  • Never leave the simmer pot unattended for safety reasons.
