Christmas Tree Brownies

Easy Christmas Tree Brownies are a fun, festive, and easy dessert to make with family for Christmas. Made with a homemade brownie recipe!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter , melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup chocolate chips
To Finish:
- 1 cup unsalted butter , softened
- 6 cups powdered sugar , about 2 pounds
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2-4 tablespoons heavy cream
- 6-12 drops green food coloring
- 1 cup pretzel sticks
- 1/4 cup rainbow confetti sprinkles
- 2 tablespoons yellow star sprinkles
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Spray an 9x13 inch baking pan with baking spray and line with parchment paper with extra hanging out over the edge (to help lift the brownies out later).
- Whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Whisk in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Spread batter evenly into greased baking pan.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Lift out the brownies and place on cutting board.
- Cut the brownie sheet into 3 long rectangles.
- Turn the brownie strip lengthwise in front of you and cut the brownies into Christmas tree triangle shapes.
To Finish:
- To your stand mixer on low speed cream the butter then start adding in the powdered sugar in ½ cup increments until fully combined then raise the speed to medium-high for 2 additional minutes.
- Add in the vanilla and heavy cream and beat until light and fluffy for an additional minute.
- Add in the green food coloring starting with 6 drops until you get to your desired Christmas tree green.
- Add to a piping bag with a star tip.
- Ice in a back and forth zig zag pattern with the green icing.
- Top with rainbow confetti sprinkles
- Place a pretzel into the bottom of the tree in the middle to make the trunk.
- Top with yellow start sprinkle.
