Ingredients

  • 4 pounds Granny Smith apples , about 8
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar , packed
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Peel, core, and chop the apples into large chunks.
  2. Place the apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg into a large pot on medium-low heat and stir well.
  3. Cook for 30-35 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes until they're tender and about half broken down.
