Cinnamon Cranberry Sauce

Spicy cinnamon, juicy cranberries, hints of orange, and sweetness compose the notes of this easy-to-make cinnamon cranberry sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 ounces fresh cranberries
  • ½ cup water
  • 6 tablespoon THM Gentle Sweet (more or less to taste)
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon (more or less to taste)
  • ⅛ teaspoon mineral salt
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons orange zest OR 4 drops orange essential oil OR ¼ teaspoon orange extract

Instructions

  1. Add the cranberries, water, sweetener, cinnamon, and salt to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a slow-rolling boil over medium-high heat. Stir often and allow to cook for 5 to 10 minutes or until the cranberries burst.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool to room temperature. Stir in the vanilla extract and orange zest/oil/extract.
  4. Put in an airtight container and refrigerate. It will continue to thicken as it cools.
