Cinnamon Spice Oatmeal

This cinnamon spice oatmeal is an easy and healthy way to start the day! It takes just 5 minutes to make. This oatmeal recipe is creamy, thick, and delicious. The strong cinnamon flavor is so tasty!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 ½ cups oat milk
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup

Instructions

  1. First, add all of the ingredients to a saucepan over low medium heat.
  2. Stir constantly, for 4 to 5 minutes, until the mixture reaches your desired consistency. The longer it cooks, the thicker it will become.
  3. Remove from the heat. Transfer into bowls.
  4. Finally, top with more ground cinnamon and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Notes

  • Use old-fashioned rolled oats for the best texture.  They are softer than quick oats.
  • Any type of milk can be used.
  • Consistently stir the oatmeal to prevent burning.
  • The longer it cooks, the thicker it will become.
  • If needed, add a splash of more milk.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
