Classic Béchamel Recipe

Bechamel can be used in many different pasta and vegetable recipes. Quick and easy recipe in the microwave!

Ingredients

  • 1 Litre of milk 4 ⅕ cup milk
  • 100 Grams of flour 3.5 ounce flour
  • 100 Grams of butter 3.5 ounce
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • salt & pepper

Instructions

  1. Make sure you have a container suitable for microwave cooking.
  2. Put the butter in the container and let it melt in the microwave for about 40 seconds.
  3. Add the flour to the melted butter, stirring well with a whisk.
  4. Combine the cold milk with the butter and flour and stir with a whisk to prevent lumps from forming.
  5. Season with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
  6. Continue to cook in a microwave for about 4 minutes, checking every minute to see the density of the bechamel.The bechamel is ready!
