Classic Cobb Salad Dressing Recipe
This Classic Cobb Salad Dressing combines red wine vinegar, lemon juice, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard emulsified with olive and salad oils. The flavor balances acidity with savory notes, creating a smooth, tangy dressing to complement salads.
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
- lemon juice of ½ lemon
- 1 garlic clove
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2/3 cup salad oil
- salt to taste
- black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Add all of the ingredients to a blender and pulse at high speed until the dressing is combined and emulsified.
- Serve or store in the refrigerator.
Notes
- This dressing can be made 3-4 days ahead and stored in the refrigerator.
- Before serving, bring to room temperature and whisk to re-emulsify and blend flavors.
- If you lack a blender, gradually whisk in the oils to achieve emulsification manually.
- Keep covered in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
