Ingredients

  • 3 cups Rice Krispies cereal or similar
  • 2 tablespoons butter separated
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows separated
  • pinch salt
  • ¼ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips melted

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Butter an 8x8 baking dish with ½ tablespoon of the butter.
  2. In a medium saucepan, melt butter and 2 cups of the mini marshmallows until smooth.
  3. Quickly stir in salt.
  4. Add in Rice Krispies cereal and stir until totally combined.
  5. Let cool about 2 minutes, then quickly stir in the remaining 1 cup of mini marshmallows.
  6. Pour into the greased baking dish and flatten. I find it is easiest to spray my hands with a bit of cooking oil and press the mixture in that way.
  7. Let cool completely.
  8. While treats are cooling, melt chocolate chips in microwave.
  9. Microwave in 15 second intervals, stirring in between, until about half the chips are melted.
  10. Remove from microwave and stir until all the chips are melted.
  11. Spoon into the corner of a sandwich bag.
  12. Snip off the tip of the corner and pipe lines over the top of the treats.
