Coffee Jelly
Coffee jelly is a gelatin dessert made with agar powder, brewed coffee, and sugar, set into a firm jelly that can be served chilled in cubes. It's slightly sweetened and offers a smooth, coffee-flavored treat that pairs well with condensed milk or whipped cream for added richness.
Ingredients
- ¾ teaspoon agar powder if you prefer a softer jelly, reduce to ½ teaspoon agar powder
- 1 C coffee
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar or to taste
Instructions
- Combine agar powder, coffee and sugar in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a boil and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a sieve into your desired mold or container.
- Use a spoon to remove any bubbles on the surface.
- Let cool and place into the fridge to chill for 1-2 hours, or until set.
- Cut the jelly into squares or as desired.
- Place a few jelly cubes into a glass and serve with condensed milk, milk or whipped cream.
Notes
