Coffee Jelly

This simple recipe for Coffee Jelly is a fun and different way to enjoy caffeine, by transforming it into jelly cubes.

Ingredients

  • ¾ teaspoon agar powder if you prefer a softer jelly, reduce to ½ teaspoon agar powder
  • 1 C coffee
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar or to taste

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Combine agar powder, coffee and sugar in a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil and whisk for 1-2 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and strain the mixture through a sieve into your desired mold or container.
  4. Use a spoon to remove any bubbles on the surface.
  5. Let cool and place into the fridge to chill for 1-2 hours, or until set.
  6. Cut the jelly into squares or as desired.
  7. Place a few jelly cubes into a glass and serve with condensed milk, milk or whipped cream.

Notes

  • If you prefer a softer set jelly, reduce the agar powder to ½ tsp.
