This traditional coleslaw is a wonderfully simple summer side for barbecues and fish fries!

Ingredients

  • 3 cups green cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup purple cabbage shredded
  • 1 cup carrot shredded
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, apple cider vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper to create the dressing.
  2. Add the shredded green cabbage, purple cabbage, and carrots to the bowl with the dressing.
  3. Toss everything together until the vegetables are evenly coated with the dressing. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to meld before serving.
