Cowboy Butter

This perfectly spicy, garlicky herb Cowboy Butter is the absolute best dipping sauce for your grilled steaks, chicken, shrimp or fish that you'll ever make!

Ingredients

  • ½ cup unsalted butter melted
  • 3 cloves garlic finely minced
  • 3 tablespoons parsley chopped
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon thyme, chopped (or fresh thyme)
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 lemon, zest and juice
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Add all the ingredients, except for the butter, into a mixing bowl.
  2. Whisk to combine them.
  3. Drizzle in the butter, while whisking the whole time. Continue whisking until everything is well combined.
  4. Serve immediately alongside your favorite steak, chicken, fish, shrimp or veggie!
  5. Store leftovers in the fridge in an airtight jar for a couple of weeks.

Notes

  • Makes about 1 ⅓ cups
  • This recipe has a spicy kick to it, so if you want to make it less spicy, reduce the cayenne pepper and red pepper flakes by half.
