Crab Cakes

This delicious Maryland Crab Cake recipe is full of succulent crab and tasty seasonings! It makes the perfect appetizer or main dish for a special dinner! Ready in under 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 1 large egg
  • 1 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 
  • 1 1 tablespoon Old Bay seasoning
  • 1/2 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce optional
  • 1 1 pound lump crab meat drained
  • 20 20 saltine crackers crushed or 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 3 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

    Cup of Yum
  1. Mix together first five ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Fold in crab meat and saltines or bread crumbs.
  3. Shape into patties.
  4. Place on a waxed paper lined baking sheet.
  5. Cover and chill for one hour to overnight.
  6. Saute in 3 tablespoons of butter in a large nonstick skillet, cooking for approximately 3 minutes on each side.
  7. Remove to a paper towel lined platter to drain.
  8. Plate and serve immediately with remoulade sauce.

Notes

  • If using Old Bay Seasoning, you can omit the hot sauce. 
  • Storage Tips:
  • Make Ahead Instructions: Cook and cool completely. Store in an airtight-container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. Reheat on the stove at low-medium heat.
  • Freezer Instructions: Store in a freezer-safe, airtight-container for up to 6 months. Thaw in the refrigerator and then reheat on the stove at low-medium heat.
